m. ( √ kaṇ Uṇ. i, 151 ), N. of a renowned Ṛṣi ( author of several hymns of the Ṛg-veda ; he is called a son of Ghora and is said to belong to the family of Aṅgiras ), RV.; AV.; VS.; KātyŚr. etc.
