निवात
 ni-vātá [ nivAta ]


1 mf ( ā ) n. ( √ 2. ) sheltered from the wind , calm cf. MBh. cf. Kāv. etc.

n. a place sheltered from the wind, absence of wind, calm, stillness cf. ŚBr. cf. ŚrGṛS. cf. MBh. etc. ( often ifc. after the word expressing the sheltering object cf. Pāṇ. 6-2, 8 )
