mfn. standing ( as opp. to ' going ', ' sitting ', or ' lying ' ; parasparaṃ sthitam, ' standing opposed to each other ' ; sthitaṃ tena, ' it was stood by him ' = ' he waited ' ), Mn. MBh. etc.

standing firm ( yuddhe, ' in battle ' ), Hariv.

standing, staying, situated, resting or abiding or remaining in ( loc. or comp. ; with uccâvaceṣu, ' abiding in things high and low ' ; with anityam, ' not remaining permanently ', ' staying only a short time ' ), KātyŚr. ; Mn. ; MBh. etc.
