वध्य

vádhya [ vadhya ]


mfn. ( frequently written bádhya ) to be slain or killed, to be capitally punished, to be corporally chastised ( cf. under vadha ), sentenced, a criminal, AV. etc.

to be destroyed or annihilated, MBh. Kāv. etc.

( L. ), killing one sentenced to death, executing criminals.



vádhya-ghna [ vadhyaghna ]

( MBh. ), mfn. killing one sentenced to death, executing criminals.
